Install from Source

If you want to make changes to the core source code of Resonon or have other reasons for not using the official installers, you can always build from source…

Caution

Installation from source is generally not necessary!

Changes made to the Resonon source itself easily break compatibility with all existing projects.

Resonon has support for custom Rust libraries, audio plugins, and many things can even be built completely within the language.

If you are missing an important feature, feel free to open a request on the GitHub repository, or reach out via e-mail (contact[at]resonon.org).

We are always grateful for user feedback and ideas for improvement, but cannot guarantee any feature requests will be honored. In its curent state Resonon is not open for code contributions.

Clone the repository, then build and install using make.
